    Volunteers Needed

    Vision San Diego is working with the local churches and community leaders to define specific mission projects.  Contact Anne Decker at 1.877.817.4777 or by E-mail to for information about specific projects. Categories of service include: 

    1. Helping with block parties and other outreach events
      • Distribution of flyers and other outreach leading up to event.
      • Serving in the actual block party event
      • Follow-up work like mailing or visitation
    2. Light Construction (hammer and nails)
    3. Skilled Construction (plumbing, electrical, hvac, dry wall, etc.)
    4. Repair and Restoration (hanging doors, painting)
    5. Medical Ministries
    6. General Labor
    7. Outreach/Evangelical
    8. Vacation Bible School
    9. Sports Camps

    		    
     


    Local Opportunities

    If you're a resident of San Diego County or the surrounding area, or if you'll be in town for a few days and would like to help, there are several new opportunities for you to serve the people and churches of Greater San Diego. Please read through this "wanted list" and contact Cathy Smith at 877.817.4777 if you'd like to be involved.

    Hostess. We're looking for several people who would be willing to volunteer during special meals and receptions held at the Vision San Diego office. This opportunity may include ordering meals, setting up for special events or manning a registration table.

    Clerical Work. If you are skilled in administrative tasks, we'd love your help in some of our day-to-day operations, including answering the phone, filing and database management.

    Moving. Calling all truck-owners! We are looking for a few volunteers to help us on an as-needed basis as we transport materials to and from our office and churches in Greater San Diego.

    Mobile Event Trailer (MET). Come meet us at the MET! We need several individual volunteers or several couples who are willing to travel with the MET, helping churches in our area who are utilizing the resource for block parties and community events. This job includes set-up and tear-down of MET resources, as well as many oppportunities to reach out to San Diegans in a fun environment.

    RV Hook-Ups. As more and more volunteers come to minister in our area, we are in need of churches who can provide hook-ups for those traveling and living in RV's.
