Prayer Requests

• We need a breakthrough in our churches related to sexual addiction. Many men are afraid to come out of the shadows and into the freedom of costly confession. We're praying that an upcoming conference in San Diego focused on purity will light a fire of revival.
• PRAISE: Thank the Lord with us for the 19 people who were baptized at the end of the summer, and for the healthy response we've had to our fall community communications pieces.
• Pray for faithful reaping of the harvest and engaging follow up on people who are new believers in Christ.

East County Transitional Living Center, Set Free Ministries | Pastor Gregg Barnes

• Praise God for a good report on Pastor Barnes' health! Continue to pray for additional treatments, and for strength in the midst of health conditions.
• Currently, Gregg serves at the East County Transitional Living Center, a ministry of Set Free Baptist Fellowship. Gregg oversees a group of 25 men in discipleship and ministry training and then helps them to integrate back into society to be fruitful lifetime disciples for the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray that God would use Gregg mightily in this role.

First Southern Baptist Church, El Cajon | Pastor Thomas Rohm

• Praise God for the opportunity to impact the lives of children and parents through this summer's Vacation Bible School and other outreach efforts!
• We're so thankful for the opportunity to be part of enhancing San Diego's prayer network! Pray that our community will contibue to have opportunities to unite in prayer. 

Shadow Mountain Community Church | Bert Youde, Watchman on the Wall Coordinator

• Praise God for four teenagers who came to know Christ during a recent event hosted by our Hispanic congregation's youth group! And for the salvation of an entire family in our Filipino congregation!
• Pray that God will provide a qualified couple who can take care of our Arabic youth ministry.
• Pray also for the formation of our new ministry to children with special needs.

New Seasons Church | Narri Cooper, Faith in Action Xtreme Elder Care Team Leader

• Praise God for ministry partnerships that blessed two dozen neighbors in a local mobile home park with painting, lawn work and minor repairs to their homes!
• Along with a summer nutrition program for kids in our community, these service projects laid the foundation for ongoing relationships. So far, three of the families we met have visited our worship service.

Vision San Diego | Thomas Bush, Prayer Ministry Director

• We give God praise for every person who found their call, used their gifts, believed God, exercised their faith, and led someone to Christ for the first time because of Vision San Diego.
• We personally give sincere and heart-felt thanks to the North American Mission Board and San Diego Southern Baptist Association for the honor and privilege to focus on ministry full-time, so that our giftings could be developed and our callings could be affirmed. Praise God for the opportunity to serve San Diego County, the county we love so deeply!
