    Prayer Requests

    Please pray for these local ministries and churches prayer requests.

    First Baptist Church of Lemon Grove/ Christian Creative Learning Academy |  Terrie Bearden/Administrator

    • Please pray for the Christian Creative Learning Academy and the First Baptist Church of Lemon Grove as they go before the city council of Lemon Grove to have our Planned Development Permit approved. The meeting is August 19 at 6:30 PM. They have spent 2 years making improvements to reduce the noise after the neighbors complained. The Planning Commission approved the permit but the neighbors appealed it to the city council. 

    • The school knows and believes that this school belongs to the Lord and He can give us more than we have asked or imagined according to Ephesians 3. Please also pray for the hearts of the neighbors - that the Lord would soften their hearts.

    San Miguel Community Church | Pastor Chuck Rheam

    • Please pray for the new marriage enrichment care group starting up. San Miguel has many couples inside and outside the church who need healing in their marriage and want this to be a marriage strengthening tool, but also a great way to show God's love and power to the unchurched.

    • Please pray for the children's ministry as they continue to expand and do more things in the community. San Miguel will be starting a youth drama club in September where they invite kids from the community to join in putting on plays. The first play will be a Christmas musical.

    • San Miguel's next huge outreach is "Breakfast with Santa."  The event is not until December, but they want to bathe it in prayer starting now.

    Set Free Pacific Beach | Pastor Greg Barnes

    • Please pray for Pastor Tony Maresca and Pastor Gregg Barnes as they leave for a mission trip to Dublin Ireland with Pastor Howard Everett and The Missions and Prayer School (M.A.P.S.) team.


    Barabbas Road Church | Pastor Matt Smith

    • Please pray for wisdom, peace and safety for Joseph, Hamas leaders son, as he tells the world his story of converting from Islam to Christianity.
    • Ask God for thousands of lives to be changed by Joseph's story and for the Barabbas Road’s members to be encouraged and strengthened though this experience.
    • Pray that the newspaper and movie theater advertising would reach new people to tell them about Barabbas Road.

    FBC, Alpine | Pastor Hal Rollins

    • Pray for the pastor as his wife went to be with the Lord a week ago. Also pray for the family as they grieve.

    FBC, San Luis Rey | Pastor Carl Souza

    • Pray for Carl Souza as he has a growth on his bladder that is 95% chance of cancer. He has stepped down as pastor. Please pray for healing and comfort. Pray for the church family as they seek God’s direction for new leadership.  Pray that God would use this church to reach the thousands of people in new housing communities near by where there are no established churches and as they reach out to the Oceanside “back gate” area, where the enemy is using gangs and drugs to steal from, kill, and destroy those who the Lord wants to set free.

    FBC, Pacific Beach | Pastor Carl Whitlock

    • Pray for the pastor as he has a spot on his lung and recently had a biopsy. He also has a large mass on his left kidney. He will be seeing an urologist about the mass. He is looking at possible surgery. He beat thyroid cancer back in 1991. Please pray for God's healing and for comfort for Pastor Carl and his family.
