    New Churches Celebrate Easter

    Integrity Christian Fellowship

Located in Lemon Grove, Ca., Integrity Christian Fellowship hopes to live up to its name. Pastor Collis Hunt, says his desire is to return confidence to God and the community while reaching every home with the Gospel.
“It’s an awesome responsibility of starting a church like this. We keep integrity at the forefront as our guide because it’s important to keep people informed, so that our ‘Yes’ is ‘Yes,’ and our ‘No,’ ‘No.’”
More than staying within the four walls, Integrity seeks to go out and reach the community. On March 15, a week prior to the launch, more than 350 people attended Integrity’s community fair, complete with food, games, a classic car show, gospel concert, and booths from local businesses and organizations.
With all of the activities, the focus was still on reaching people with the Gospel. By the end of the fair, seven people had made decisions for Christ.

    Cross Church San Diego

On Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, Cross Church San Diego held their first official gathering in the Rancho Penasquitos community. After much prayer and fasting, Pastor Brad Graves felt led to move from Springdale, AR, to start a new work in a major city. The ultimate goal is for Cross Church to serve as a church multiplication center and eventually plant churches throughout the region.

    Iglesia Familiar Heritage Park

Not only is Iglesia Familiar Heritage Park one of the newest churches in Otay Ranch, it is also the only SBC Hispanic church in the community. Hugo Campos currently serves as the pastor, but in time he will hand the job over to another leader. The church desires to reach out to this community where there isn’t much Hispanic ministry presence, and is primarily reaching out to families (but of course, anyone is welcome!).

    The Path

By meeting at the AMC Theater in Fashion Valley (an upscale mall in San Diego), The Path hopes to create a culture where college students and young couples feel welcome. As a missional and collegiate church, the Path exists to reach young adults and help them take responsibility by providing opportunities to be involved with missions. Currently Howard Everett, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, is also serving as the pastor of The Path.
