    The Ultimate Slooze Show

The game where slize and ooze collide!

The Ultimate Slooze Show came to town and left tracks of green slime all over San Diego. They also left the message with hundreds of children and families that God is just crazy about them.  As their website promotes, “kids get messy on the outside, while God cleans ‘em up on the inside!”

The Ultimate Slooze Show is a children’s ministry of First Baptist Church of Altamonte Springs, Florida. They take the Gospel message to kids and families through a series of high-energy slime games.  Formally known as Kid’s Club and Slime Time, The Ultimate Slooze Show is now in its fourteenth year and led by Senior Pastor Todd Lamphere. The show has gone on the road to places all over the world, including military bases in Europe and numerous inner cities in the US.  In July, a 29-member team performed 5 shows through San Diego County in a week’s time, sharing the Gospel in a very messy, very fun way.

The Ultimate Slooze Show team is known to have a special place in its heart for local churches, Pastor Todd Lamphere said, “I know what it is like being a local church. It can be hard. We are here to love on them.”

Fellowship of San Diego was one of several churches who worked with the Slooze team. Fellowship threw a big party on Friday afternoon, July 25, with snow cones, popcorn, and one big crazy slime show.  More than 400 people participated throughout the day. Friday’s show was followed by another show during Fellowship’s Sunday morning service. Pastor Lamphere, “we are here to introduce people to their local church”, so children and families were encouraged to be a part of the second show at Fellowship.

As The Ultimate Slooze Show opened with a boys vs. girls challenge game, the Gospel message was presented and 98 decisions for Christ were made!  More slime games and relays followed and the afternoon was filled with fellowship, as the church truly engaged and served their community.

“This is just great, so fun. Anything to get my kids out of the house during the summer is awesome and such a great help,” said one mom in the crowd.

It took a lot of slime to do the crime, but The Ultimate Slooze Show was truly a blessing for this community and church in San Diego.
