PowerPlant San Diego  

JULY 11-17 | PowerPlant, an initiative of the North American Mission Board, returned to San Diego to assist local church planters in building relationships and meeting needs in their communities.

81 volunteers from New Mexico, Texas and California worked with 8 new churches to reach out through these unique ministry opportunities:

• Chapel at the Lakes | PowerPlanters hosted a Vacation Bible School at the campground where the church ministers to more than 500 people at any given time.
• Barabbas Road Church | Volunteers distributed information about the church and looked for opportunities to share the Gospel.
• Elevate Church & Church @ the Beach | Volleyball tournament and cookouts on the beach; inviting people to try out a Sunday service at Elevate or Church @ the Beach.
• San Miguel Community Church & Seven San Diego | The two churches partnered for their second-annual Youth Olympics. (PowerPlant helped out at last year’s event, too!)
• Ethos Church | Door-to-door community service, inviting people to Ethos.
• Generation North Oceanside | Soccer camp for kids, building relationships with families in Oceanside.
